Welcome to the photo gallery for the 8th Pacific Structural Steel Conference held in Wairakei, New Zealand. Situated next to lovely Lake Taupo and located in one of the world's most active volcanic areas, the PSSC 2007 saw delegates and speakers from all over the world. The theme for the Conference was "Steel Structures in Natural Hazards" with over 120 relevant papers presented.
Three internationally renowned experts from the Japan, UK and USA were the keynote speakers and the Conference was opened by the NZ Minister for Building Issues, the Honorable Clayton Cosgrove and the Mayor of Taupo Clayton Trent. The PSSC 2007 Secretariat was the NZ Heavy Engineering Research Association (HERA - Dr Wolfgang Scholz, Director) in partnership with Steel Constructuion New Zealand (SCNZ - Mr Clark Hyland, Manager).
